Did You Know? In April 2008, the government expanded the Saskatchewan Employment Supplement by $2 million - the largest increase in the program's history. Task Force on Housing Affordability ![]() On June 5, 2008, the Task Force on Housing Affordability officially presented Social Services Minister Donna Harpauer with a report entitled "Affordable Housing: An Investment". Prepared by Ted Merriman and Bob Pringle, the report outlines recommendations on how to address affordable housing challenges in Saskatchewan. In total, 85 individuals, groups and organizations were consulted in 16 Saskatchewan communities, and 53 written proposals were received. Minister Harpauer will be providing an initial response in the coming weeks.The Task Force spent more than two months meeting with stakeholders across the province after it was set up by Harpauer and the Government of Saskatchewan in March 2008.
